What do you hope to do when you graduate from Cal Poly?
When I graduate I hope to go into consulting for a few years to gain experience in the business world, and ultimately I would like to start my own business, go into real estate management, and travel the world.
What did you end up doing last summer?
Traveling has always been a major part of my life ever since I was born. I have always wanted to visit the Philippines, and over the summer I was able to turn this dream into a reality. I landed a 7 week internship at an institute that deals with economic development to help small/medium enterprises thrive in the rapidly developing economy of the Philippines. It was an unbelievable experience that shaped me into the person I am today.
What is a long term goal that you hope to eventually accomplish one day?
One day I will make my goal of traveling to every country in this world come true.
How has AKPsi shaped your career?
Joining Alpha Kappa Psi has been a defining moment in not only my college experience but in my growth as an individual as well. This organization has taught me the skills that I need to become successful in life, and I have the privilege to pass down that knowledge to others and learn new skills every day. Had I not joined this organization, my professional outlook and skill set would be much different.
What is your favorite memory of AKPsi?
Being a part of AKPsi has created a lot of memories that will certainly last a lifetime. However, one memory that stands out in particular is when we attended PBLI, which is a conference for all members in the organization. The drive to Nevada and the entire weekend itself was a huge bonding experience within my chapter. In addition, this was the first time I had the opportunity to meet members from other chapters, which gave me insight on how large of a network AKPsi really is.
