What do you hope to do when you graduate from Cal Poly?
I would like to work for a company that challenges me on a daily basis and helps me further develop my leadership skills. Meeting people and traveling has always been something that I have enjoyed so this will also be something that I will look for when choosing a career path after college.
What did you end up doing last summer?
This past summer I had an Account Executive internship at Rosetta which gave me the chance to not only build my resume, but also gain a lot of valuable communication experience as I was privileged enough to work with multi-million dollar clients and many people from different professional backgrounds. This internship led to a part time job that I am now working in addition to school.
What is a long term goal that you hope to eventually accomplish one day?
A long term goal for myself is to stay fit, eat right, and to never loose track what really matters in life: friends and family. I am a true believer in being passionate about everything I do, so I have set the goal for myself to only work for companies and with teams that challenge me and make work fun and rewarding.
How has AKPsi shaped your career?
AKPsi has helped shape my career by surrounding me with other incredibly motivated and talented people. Its impossible to live an average life when you are surrounded by extraordinary individuals who motivate you to better yourself every day. It has also given me lifelong friends who I know I can count on no matter where we end up in our lives.
What is your favorite memory of AKPsi?
Doing community service at a equestrian ranch for Make a Difference Day with a bunch of our brothers is one of my most positive and vivid memories. We all participated in it with many other Cal Poly clubs and it was so rewarding and fun to get to be part of such a huge act of community service.
